Bob Siegfried

I trained in viticulture and soil science (MSc, UC-Davis). I worked as a vineyard manager, as the viticultural consultant to the Dried Fruit and Raisin Institute and the Agricultural Bank of the Democratic Republic of Afghanistan for the World Bank’s Afghan Fruit and Vegetable Export Project, and in an agricultural engineering capacity for the Santa Clara Valley Water District, where I worked in irrigation efficiency and the application of recycled water for agricultural and golf course irrigation. During and after my employment at the SCVWD, I participated in crafting regulations for the Water Conservation Act of 2009 (SB7x-7) as a member of the Agricultural Stakeholder Committee and contributed to the 2005 update of the California Water Plan as a member of the advisory committee.
The use of water is the area in which I choose to make such contributions as I am able. I consider the work to be socially valuable, and currently also serve on the water committee of the Carmel Valley Association.
