CARMEL BEACH OPEN FOLLOWING WATER QUALITY TESTING 

City of Carmel and County of Monterey Give the OK

 Carmel, Calif., October 25, 2025— Following extensive internal water quality testing conducted by the Carmel Area Wastewater District and its independent third party lab, the Monterey County Health Department and the City of Carmel have reviewed the results and concluded that the Carmel Beach is safe to reopen immediately.

“We’d like to extend our sincere thanks to the public for their patience while we conducted water quality testing,” said Barbara Buikema, CAWD General Manager. We’d also like to thank the County of Monterey and the City of Carmel for quickly reviewing the test results and reopening the beaches.”
